Wiesław Zawadzki is a professor at the Institute of Security Sciences at the Higher School of Justice in Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Higher School of Public Administration in Białystok and the National Defence Academy in Warsaw, where he obtained a doctoral degree in social sciences, in the discipline of security sciences, from the Department of National Security. In 2022, he completed a postgraduate Executive Master of Business Administration at Collegium Humanum Szkoła Główna Menedżerska in Warsaw. Former Head of the Municipal Police in Białystok. Vice-president of the Białystok Aero Club, active parachute jumper, member of the Board of the Association of Polish Parachutists, secretary of the Polish Association of Experts and Forensic Experts, scientific consultant, member of the Scientific Council of the ‘Forensic Expert’ magazine, sports shooting instructor.

He specialises in the following topics: crisis management, civil defence, general self-defence, protection of the state’s critical infrastructure.

He has teaching experience as an academic teacher. He is the author and co-author of scientific articles, initiator of conferences, trainings and workshops devoted to security in the broad sense.
