Assistant at the Institute of Penitentiary Studies of the University  of Justice. Graduate of Law and Administration at the University of Wrocław. In 2021-2023, he completed his legal training at the Bar Association in Wrocław. Solicitor and mediator.
He has combined his academic interests with professional activity, including as an assistant judge at the Regional Court in Sieradz and a permanent court mediator registered on the list maintained by the presidents of regional courts in several Polish cities. Since 2022, he has also been a mediator at the Mediation Centre of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (term of office 2023-2027). In 2022-2024, he was a permanent collaborator of the Centre for Strategic Analysis of the Institute of Justice, where he was responsible, among other things, for coordinating educational projects related to strategic management and social communication.

Since his university days, he has been involved in the third sector. He has collaborated with numerous patriotic and civic non-governmental organisations from all over Poland, where he has been involved as an expert, co-author of numerous reports and analyses, moderator, presenter and volunteer. In 2018–2021, he was a member of the board of the Przyszłość Pokoleń (Future of Generations) Foundation, where he was responsible for legal issues, legal education training, and the preparation of reports and analyses. As part of his activities in the third sector, he collaborated with universities, the National School of Public Administration, central public administration bodies and local government units.

Research interests
Jakub Nyziak’s academic interests focus on the intersection of public and private law and law in action, in particular in the areas of fundamental rights, criminal, civil, family and administrative law; the organisation of the justice system and its personnel; alternative dispute resolution methods, human dignity, family autonomy and the idea of justice.
