Mateusz Lewandowski PhD

PhD in social sciences in the discipline of security sciences. Defended his doctoral thesis entitled. ‘The role of the Prison Service in the implementation of tasks in the national security system of the Republic of Poland’ at the Jarosław Dąbrowski Military University of Technology in Warsaw. Graduate of a Master’s degree in National Security from the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Military University of Technology, as well as postgraduate studies in the field of re-socialisation and social prevention and in the field of penitentiary science. He completed the Fulbright Foundation’s TopMinds mentoring programme. Author of several scientific articles/chapters in scientific monographs. Second Lieutenant of the Prison Service, coordinator of the Law and Public Order Laboratory of the Institute of Applied Penitentiary Studies at the School of Justice. Current research interests: security of penitentiary units, internal security, sociology of security, measures of direct coercion.
