Dr hab. Krzysztof A. Wojcieszek (PhD with habilitation) professor of the Academy of Justice (SWWS), he is a molecular biologist (mgr (MA), University of Lodz), philosopher (mgr (MA), ethics, University of Lodz), doctor of philosophy (Warsaw Theological Academy) and doctor of pedagogy (Adam Mickiewicz University). He currently heads the Institute for the Institute of Social Foundations of Penitentiary at the Academy of Justice.
He specialises in the prevention of alcohol and drug problems (both research and practice), as well as in anthropological aspects of pedagogy (the subject of the person and their relationships) and in the didactics of philosophy. He is the author of many valued and widely used prevention programmes (e.g. “Noe” [Noah], “Korekta” [Correction], “Debata” [Debate], “Smak życia czyli debata o dopalaczach” [The taste of life or the debate about designer drugs], “ARS czyli jak dbać o miłość” [ARS or how to take care of love], “Dżungla” [Jungle]), two of which are on the so-called list of recommended programmes.
Former President of the European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR). An author of numerous scientific and popular publications (over 150) (including monographs: “In the beginning there was despair” (2005), “Man meets alcohol” (2010), “Optimising the prevention of alcohol problems” (2013), “Our children in the jungle of life…” (2016).
Active participant in several hundred scientific conferences and symposia in Poland and abroad. A trainer and expert of many institutions (Parliament, PARPA, Ministry of National Education, Ministry of National Defence, Chief Sanitary Inspectorate). He has lectured at several universities (Szkoła im. B. Jańskiego, Pedagogium – Higher School of Social Sciences (WSNS), University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS), Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) and others). Decorations: Medal of the Commission of National Education, Medal for Meritorious Service to National Defence, Honorary Badge of the Minister of Health.
