Dorota Kanarek-Lizik PhD

Dorota Kanarek-Lizik – Doctor of Humanities in the field of pedagogy. In the years 1991–2007, a Prison Service officer associated with the Remand Centre in Bydgoszcz. Co-author of a publication series entitled “The History of Polish Penitentiary Institutions” about the Remand Centre in Bydgoszcz (volume I) and the Prison in Inowrocław (volume II). Author of several peer-reviewed publications on penitentiary and social rehabilitation issues. Her scientific and research activities are concentrated on the adaptation of convicts to prison conditions, the perception of crime in Poland, problems of serving prison sentences in Poland and abroad, as well as the methodology of social rehabilitation work in penitentiary units and social rehabilitation facilities.
