Jerzy Trocha, PhD is an assistant professor at the Institute of Security Sciences at the Academy of Justice. He obtained a PhD degree at the Faculty of Management and Command at the War Studies University in the field of social sciences in the discipline of security sciences. He also graduated in sociology from the University of Zielona Góra and in defence from the National Defence University. A graduate of postgraduate studies in counteracting terrorist threats at the National Defence University as well as occupational health and safety at the Warsaw Management University. In addition, he has completed numerous courses and trainings in public safety, rescue, crisis management and facility protection, including critical infrastructure facilities.
A qualified technical protection officer and a specialist in civil security in public and private sector companies. An author of scientific research papers and numerous scientific publications in the field of national security. A speaker and moderator at scientific conferences and seminars. He specialises in issues of crisis management, critical infrastructure, civil protection and public security. He also focuses his interests around the protection of public buildings and rail transport safety.
An organizer of many conferences and scientific seminars, as well as events promoting the scientific achievements of students and charity actions, including the popularization of honorary blood donation in the academic environment. During his studies, he was an active creator of events on the occasion of student culture days, Juwenalia.
