Sławomir Grzegorz Grzesiak PhD

Sławomir Grzesiak – a doctor of social sciences in the field of pedagogy (2013), a graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Wroclaw (2007) as well as first degree administrative studies (2011) and postgraduate studies in the field of executive criminal law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wroclaw (2008). He has been a Prison Service officer since 2014, currently holding the position as an assistant professor in the Psychopedagogical Research Laboratory of the Research and Development Institute at the Academy of Justice. In 2013–2019 he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Social Rehabilitation at the Institute of Pedagogy of the University of Wroclaw.

His research interests are oriented on social rehabilitation and penitentiary pedagogy, prison demography, readaptation and social reintegration of convicts and the organisational structure and functioning of the prison system in Poland.
