Retired PS Major, PhD in Pedagogy, Assistant Professor at the Research and Development Institute of the Academy of Justice in Warsaw. Author of monographs and numerous articles and scientific chapters. Member of teams implementing Polish scientific research projects and the author of an independent scientific research project on the sense of security among inmates in Polish prisons and remand centres. Participant in numerous national and international scientific conferences and congresses. He received his PhD degree from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Silesia in Katowice. The topic of the PhD thesis was exerting social influence among convicts and pre-trial detainees held in prison isolation. Current research interests focus on widely understood social influence, human behaviour in prison isolation and safety of persons deprived of their liberty.
